Gift cards

You can now purchase gift cards from us!

Give the gift of an opportunity to take part in a course – an experience, a new hobby or a creative break from everyday life. We offer a wide range of courses for both adults and children, across many different categories. There is sure to be something for everyone!

Gift cards can only be purchased from the school office on weekdays between 8:00 and 15:00.

You can load the gift card with any amount of your choice (minimum €20), and it can be used to pay for any of our courses.

Gift Card Terms and Conditions

General Terms

  • By purchasing a gift card, you accept the terms and conditions below, and the gift card amount will be charged to your card.

Validity

  • The gift card is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
  • The expiry date is stated on the gift card.
  • Purchases made using the gift card do not extend its validity period. An expired gift card cannot be extended, nor can its remaining balance be transferred to a new gift card.
  • The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash, and its balance cannot be transferred to the gift card holder’s bank account.

Cancellations

  • If a course paid for with a gift card is cancelled by the organiser, the full course fee will be refunded to the gift card holder’s bank account. The amount will not be transferred to a new gift card.
  • If a course has been paid for with a gift card but the gift card holder does not cancel their participation before the cancellation deadline, the amount used will not be refunded.


Use

  • The gift card can only be used as a means of payment for course fees charged by Borgå folkakademi Ab.
  • The gift card cannot be used to pay for lunch or other food products available for purchase at Borgå folkakademi Ab.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • When registering for a course and wishing to pay with a gift card, please contact info(at)akan.fi and provide your personal gift card code and the amount you wish to use from the gift card.
  • The gift card holder may use the card for multiple purchases until the full balance has been used or the gift card has expired.
